Denmark
Design, bikes and Scandinavian happiness
Denmark is the small Scandinavian kingdom where everything seems designed for good living: bike lanes everywhere, colourful houses along the canals, and that famous "hygge" you breathe in every café. For a Cameroonian traveller, the contrast with the heat of Douala is total: here you discover an ultra-organised society, prices that sting a little, but a quality of life that leaves a mark. Copenhagen is best explored by bike or on foot, between royal castles, revamped harbours and world-class Nordic restaurants. A short stay of a few days is enough to taste this cosy, elegant atmosphere.

The visa, step by step
How to apply
Denmark has no visa service in Cameroon: France represents it. Your application is received by the consular section of the French Embassy in Yaoundé or by the French Consulate General in Douala, depending on your region of residence. You submit it in person, by appointment, at a TLScontact centre (fingerprints and photo). Apply no earlier than 6 months and no later than 15 working days before departure.
Required documents
- Passport under 10 years old, valid 3 months beyond return, with 2 blank pages
- Completed and signed Schengen application form + recent ID photo
- Travel medical insurance (min. €30,000 cover, mandatory)
- Round-trip ticket and hotel booking (or host attestation)
- Recent bank statements and proof of employment or income
Good to know
- •No Danish embassy in Cameroon: France handles Schengen visas for Denmark (Yaoundé or Douala depending on where you live). The Danish Embassy in Nigeria does not accept applications from Cameroon residents.
- •The financial file is decisive: show consistent statements and enough funds for the whole stay.
