Privacy policy
Last updated — July 6, 2026
This policy explains what data is processed when you use our mobile app and website, and how we protect it.
Scope
This privacy policy applies to the Travora mobile app and the website travora.guide (together, the "Service"). It describes the data processed when you use the Service and your rights regarding it.
Data we collect
We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number or any other identifying data to use the Service.
- No precise location data.
- No access to your contacts, photos, microphone or camera.
What you type (search, comparator, budget simulator) is processed on your device and is not linked to your identity.
Data collected automatically
To measure usage and improve the Service, we use anonymous, aggregated analytics (Vercel Analytics). These statistics (page views, device type, approximate country inferred from IP, referrer) cannot identify you and are not sold. Like any online service, our hosts may temporarily log technical data (IP address, browser type) for security and reliability. Advertising-related data is described in the "Advertising (Google)" section.
Mobile app permissions
The Travora app requires Internet access to load content (country guides, photos, flags). It requests no sensitive permissions: no location, contacts, storage, camera or microphone. The ad-supported version additionally uses the device's advertising identifier (AD_ID permission), described in the "Advertising (Google)" section.
How we use this information
Technical data and anonymous statistics are used solely to: run the Service, measure usage in aggregate, diagnose issues and improve content. We make no automated decisions about you. Ad serving and the data it involves are described in the "Advertising (Google)" section.
Sharing with third parties
We do not sell or rent any personal data. The Service relies on providers that may process technical data needed to display content:
- Hosting and analytics: Vercel.
- Photos: Unsplash (with photographer attribution).
- Flags: flagcdn.
- Advertising: Google (AdSense on the website, AdMob in the app) — see the "Advertising (Google)" section.
In addition, the "Apply online" and "Official process" links point to third-party sites (embassies, e-visa portals, visa providers), and some bookings go through our travel partners: those sites have their own privacy policies, for which we are not responsible.
Local storage and cookies
Your preferences (language, currency, theme, comparator selections, TravorAI conversations) are stored locally on your device (localStorage / app storage) to remember your choices between visits. They are not sent to our servers. Advertising-related cookies and identifiers are described in the "Advertising (Google)" section.
Advertising (Google)
To fund the Service, some pages of the website may display ads served by Google AdSense, and the free version of the mobile app may display ads via Google AdMob (banners, full-screen ads and rewarded ads, for example to unlock TravorAI messages). For this purpose, Google's advertising technologies may collect and share with Google:
- Advertising cookies (website) or the device's advertising identifier (app): serving ads, capping their frequency and preventing fraud.
- Interactions with ads (impressions, clicks), to measure ad performance.
- Technical diagnostic data related to the operation of the advertising SDK.
On the website, visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland see a consent message (Google-certified consent management platform) and can refuse personalized ads. In the mobile app, only non-personalized ads are requested: their content depends on context (app, language, approximate region), not on an advertising profile.
You can reset or delete your phone's advertising identifier at any time (Settings > Privacy > Ads) and manage your Google ad preferences at adssettings.google.com. More information: policies.google.com/technologies/ads.
Data retention and deletion
Since we do not store identifiable personal data on our servers, there is nothing on our side to delete about you. Analytics are anonymous and kept in aggregate. To clear your local preferences, clear the app's data (Settings → Apps → Travora → Storage) or your browser's data.
Security
The Service is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). We apply reasonable technical measures to protect it. However, no transmission over the Internet is fully secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children's privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has provided us with information, contact us so we can delete it.
Your rights
Under the GDPR and applicable laws, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection and portability over your personal data. As the Service collects no identifiable data, these requests are effectively moot; you may still contact us with any question.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. For significant changes, we will update the "last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review it periodically.
