Liechtenstein
Alpine micro-principality between Switzerland and Austria
Nestled in the Alps between Switzerland and Austria, Liechtenstein is one of the world's smallest states: a prosperous principality of castles, vineyards and mountain trails. For a Cameroonian, you reach it via Switzerland (Zurich airport), with a Schengen visa issued by Switzerland. It is a peaceful, refined interlude, perfect to combine with a stay in Switzerland or Austria.

How to apply
Liechtenstein does not issue its own visas: Switzerland issues them on its behalf (agreement between the two countries). So apply in person at the Swiss Embassy in Yaoundé (no TLScontact centre): fill in the form on swiss-visa.ch, print, date and sign it, then request an appointment by email at yaounde.visa@eda.admin.ch.
Required documents
- Signed passport valid more than 3 months beyond the end of the stay, + copies of the ID pages and visas
- swiss-visa.ch form, printed, dated and signed
- 1 recent ID photo on a white background
- Schengen travel insurance (min. €30,000) valid across the Schengen area
- Confirmed round-trip ticket, hotel bookings, trip itinerary, bank statements and payslips for the last 3 months
Good to know
- •A Schengen visa issued by Switzerland is valid for Liechtenstein: there are no border checks between the two countries.
- •The country has no airport: you reach it by road or rail from Zurich.
- •ETIAS (the authorisation for visa-exempt travellers) does not apply to you: with a Cameroonian passport you need a Schengen visa.
