Tiny but mighty, Luxembourg is a trilingual grand duchy nestled between France, Belgium and Germany. For a French-speaking Cameroonian traveler, it's linguistically familiar terrain, with a spectacular capital perched on cliffs and crossed by green gorges. Wealthy, clean and surprisingly green, the country can be covered in a few days: UNESCO-listed casemates, fairytale castles in the Ardennes, Moselle vineyards and stone villages. It's a refined, compact European stop, perfect for a short trip blending heritage, gastronomy and nature, a stone's throw from the major neighboring capitals.

How to apply

For Cameroon, Luxembourg entrusts its visas to the Belgian Embassy in Yaoundé. So submit your application at the Belgian Embassy's TLScontact centre (Yaoundé or Douala). Fill in the Visa On Web online form, print and sign it, book an appointment on the TLScontact website (service fee paid when booking), then submit your file in person (fingerprints and photo).

Required documents

  • Passport under 10 years old, valid 3 months beyond return, with 2 blank pages
  • Printed and signed application form + compliant photo
  • Travel medical insurance (min. €30,000)
  • Flight and accommodation bookings
  • Proof of funds and, if applicable, an invitation letter (exact list on the TLScontact website)

Good to know

  • •Luxembourg is represented by Belgium (not France): you apply at TLScontact, not VFS Global.
  • •Luxembourg must be your main destination (the country where you spend the most time); prepare solid proof of funds.
  • •Apply no earlier than 6 months and no later than 15 days before departure. In Douala, passports are returned by courier only.
