Solomon Islands
Lagoons, war wrecks and forgotten islands
The Solomon Islands, a volcanic South Pacific archipelago, are one of the most remote destinations on earth. Diving among World War II wrecks, UNESCO-listed turquoise lagoons, authentic Melanesian villages: this is an adventure for curious, patient travellers. For a Cameroonian the journey is very long and tourism still embryonic, but the reward is untouched nature and a rare, sincere welcome far from any crowd.
