Schengen visa refused? The Travora assistant prepares your application with you

The problem isn't the visa, it's the application. The Travora app assistant gives you the document list for your case, works out your dates, reads your documents and warns you before you pay.

Are you Cameroonian, or African, and aiming for the Schengen area or another country? The hardest part often isn't the visa itself: it's the application. In Cameroon, in 2024, around 38% of Schengen visa applications were refused, according to European Commission statistics. And in 2025, it was 40%, out of nearly 57,500 applications.

Travora has launched an assistant in its app that prepares your application with you. Here's what it does, step by step.

A document list for your case

You choose your passport and your destination, and the assistant gives you the list of documents that matches your situation, built from Travora's data. Not a list copied from a forum.

For France from Cameroon, for example: passport, France-Visas form, travel insurance, return tickets, hotel booking (or an invitation certificate, the "attestation d'accueil"), payslips and bank statements. You tick them off as you go.

The dates you can't miss

You enter your departure date, and the assistant works out:

  • the last day to submit your application (for a Schengen visa, processing usually takes 15 days, and can take up to 45);
  • the date for your vaccination, if you need one;
  • the other steps of your application.

It reminds you of each step with a notification on your phone.

Your documents, read and checked

This is the most useful part: you take a photo of your documents (or add a PDF), and the assistant reads them. For example, it spots:

  • a hotel booking that doesn't cover the dates of your ticket;
  • an insurance policy that covers less than €30,000, the minimum required for a Schengen visa;
  • a name spelt differently on your passport and on a booking.

It tells you before you submit, not after a refusal.

When the rules change

Entry requirements change often. If the entry rules of a country you follow change, the app sends you a notification.

TravorAI knows your application

You can also talk to TravorAI, Travora's AI assistant, with your application as a reference. It knows your documents and can, for example:

  • write your cover letter;
  • review your application and tell you what's missing.
