African passports: the Travora series, country by country

It all started with one video: "With a Cameroonian passport, you can't go anywhere". Djo was sure of it; Vora proved him wrong with Travora's numbers. The result: more than 160,000 views on TikTok, and dozens of comments asking for the same thing: "Do my passport!"

How the series works

In each episode, a friend swears that with their passport, you can't go anywhere. Travora brings out the real numbers, in three categories:

• visa-free countries;
• countries that issue a visa on arrival;
• e-visa countries, where you apply from your phone.

The total gives the number of destinations you can reach without going through the embassy. And every video ends with a surprise: a Caribbean island, the land of carnival, the farthest place you can go without a visa…

54 passports, and we've done 9

Africa has 54 countries, so 54 passports. With Cameroon and these eight, the series covers nine. That leaves 45, and that is too many for one person.

To read those lists properly, a useful reminder: "visa-free" doesn't mean "nothing needed".
