Travora Student · 2027 intake

Study in France from Côte d'Ivoire

For the 2027 intake, local Campus France Côte d’Ivoire fees and dates still need confirmation: the official homepage checked on 13 October 2026 still refers to an older campaign. The XOF 80,000 below is a previous reference amount, not a confirmed fee for this intake. The route remains Études en France, admission, then France-Visas and submission in Abidjan. Check current instructions in the Campus France account before paying or relying on a deadline. The national financial requirement is €877.50 per month from 1 August 2026. Budget estimates distinguish known charges, indicative conversions and items still requiring confirmation.

Differences and pitfalls

What differs from the general rule

  • Campus France fee of 80,000 FCFA paid only at a Société Générale Côte d'Ivoire counter, after the payment request (not at TLScontact as in Cameroon).
  • Visa submitted at VFS Global in Abidjan (service fee 19,000 FCFA, prepaid online), not at TLScontact or Capago.
  • Ivorian nationals exempt from the French test for the DAP (French is the sole official language); a non-Ivorian residing in Côte d'Ivoire may have to take the TCF.
  • Documents in French: no translation; no legalization required by the Campus France and France-Visas pages consulted (Côte d'Ivoire does not use the apostille).
  • Official transcripts required for some profiles: central registrar's office of public universities, DOREX transcript for BTS.
  • Interview possible in Bouaké; San Pedro branch opened in May 2026 and information point at the CUEF of Université Félix Houphouët-Boigny.
  • The Campus France Côte d'Ivoire visa page still shows €615 in monthly funds: the applicable amount is €877.50.

Pitfalls to avoid

Paid intermediaries[12][41]

No intermediary is authorized to prepare the visa application; the France-Visas form is free and appointments are booked on the VFS Global website. Fake documents lead to refusal.

Outdated funds amount[12][17]

Financial support based on €615 per month risks refusal: €877.50 per month has been required since August 1, 2026.

Paying before the payment request[2][4]

The 80,000 FCFA is paid only after the payment request is received in your Études en France account, at an SGCI counter; it is never refunded.

Certified copies at the interview[3][15]

Only originals are accepted on the day of the academic interview; no absence or postponement is tolerated.

Tough selection[2][7]

About one third of applications get an admission: make several relevant choices and submit at least one month before the deadline.

Civil status document verified[19][22]

Verification of a civil status document can delay the visa by several months: apply early and do not buy a non-changeable ticket before the decision.

Budget without APL[25][42]

Since July 1, 2026, a non-European student without a need-based scholarship is no longer entitled to the APL (housing assistance); differentiated tuition fees (€2,902 for a Licence (bachelor's), €3,950 for a Master's) are added unless exempted.
